Field Service Technician


Our Professional Dryer Vent Service Technicians cover the entire DFW Metroplex - helping homeowners and business owners find dryer venting solutions that will serve them best. It's no 8am - 5pm job, so our daily schedule typically means working longer days - but, it's really rewarding work too because our customers genuinely and deeply appreciate all we do to help them. If you like helping people, we may be a great fit! Here are some things that are important to us: 1. Be HONEST. We really strive to be honest with our customers, with ourselves and with each other. 2. Able to pass a thorough BACKGROUND CHECK (including random drug tests & vehicle/driving history record). 3. Be POSITIVE, PLEASANT & CLEAN. Customer Service is HUGE for us because so much of our business comes by way of referrals from other people. We expect our team members to treat our customers, each other, and everyone else with respect. We believe our attitude and ultimate happiness are our own responsibility, so our personal appearance reflects that. 4. Be a HARD WORKER . This means that we take initiative and we have a lot of pride in our work. 5. Must have (and maintain) a clean driving record and a valid Texas driver's license. No moving violations within the last year. 6. Must be able to lift & carry a 90-pound extension ladder & fit in really tight spaces (e.g., behind clothes dryers, attics & crawl spaces). 7. Must be comfortable with getting on roofs. Because we are a small company, we value our team members and their ideas immensely. Everyone on our team brings unique experiences, talents, and ideas so we can all help and lift each other. Starting pay depends on experience & qualifications - typically between $14 - $16/hour and can move up to between $18 & $20+/hour. Since 2009 we have specialized in dryer vents - from routine cleaning, minor repairs, and full reroutes to complete installations. We know it sounds kind of weird, but we love it and have a lot of fun, providing a legitimate, value-added service to homeowners & business owners that need a safe and efficient dryer. Plus, we have just as much fun helping and watching HomeSafe grow - helping to support other talented and honest people as HomeSafe Team-members. Processes data, generates routine reports and provides direct support to field technicians. Maintains office records, appointment calendars and provide quality customer services to all clients. Other duties include but are not limited to, answering telephones, filing, mail processing, document scanning, emails, scheduling field technicians daily route, updating records and other document preparation and other office duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint 1 year office work experience preferred, but not required 1 year customer service experience preferred, but not required Graphic design experience a plus Video editing experience (especially Adobe Premiere) a plus Work Traits: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as, demonstrated competence in reading and basic mathematics. Able to maintain strict confidence regarding information contained in assigned work. Ability to professionally interact with all levels of branch personnel, as well as, clients, vendors and all other office visitors. Possess a high level of accuracy and detailed oriented Ability to prioritize and multitask Time management skills Proactive Independent worker Must be able to learn and operate applicable software systems used to process invoices, set schedules, collect payments, update customer accounts Starting pay depends on experience & qualifications - typically between $11 - $15/hour.
